I cannot describe how much I appreciate my driving instructor Neil Cook. I have been holding my learner’s permit for 2 years without getting into the car. For someone like me who doesn’t have a “mechanical” brain, seldomly play video games, and haven’t even ridden a bike for years, getting a machine to move as intended was a huge challenge. I am a slow learner when it comes to practical things. Neil has always been super patient, allowed me to try many, many, many… times. I don’t have someone to practise with, so I have been doing many 2-hr sessions with Neil. Those lessons have always been gainful, and importantly, fun!! I never realised time passing by till it was already 2 hours, not to mention all those great conversations I had with Neil. I have always been looking forward to my driving lessons. Neil taught me how to be a safe, defensive driver, making prompt, correct and decisive decisions, and helped me to grow my confidence on the road (and how to pass a driving test—yep, that’s important too). Neil has always been flexible about lesson schedule and generous about the time—there is never a rush, and we could go to many interesting places even if they are further away. With a week of passing my driving test, I had to move house and rely on driving for commute ever since, and every single day I feel happy about my decision that I got Neil as my driving instructor. I deeply appreciate Neil for being a hero in my (and many others’) lives, and helping me to be safe on the road, get my license and gain independence. I recommend Neil for anyone like me, who needs a bit more patience, time, and encouragement. (p.s. Neil, if you’re reading this—I did get a “soft roader” :) ). Xaria

Highly recommend Neil Cook!!! Not only did he teach me safe driving practice, but also provided me with persistant encouragement, support and empathy. After ten years of being a learner driver Neil has been the only teacher who has helped me find my confidence when driving. He has an in-depth understanding of how the car functions and is willing to share his knowledge with you. He also makes good conversation. He is a great human being.
